A Dimension Vault was technology of Dalek design.
It appeared to have the lower part of a Dalek battle casing with the top part open, with a single, spear shaped device present. The Vault transported people from one world to another.
The Cybermen stole a dimension vault in the Void and used it to return to Earth but were catapulted backwards in time. The Tenth Doctor offered to use it to relocate the Cybermen to a planet where they could live their mechanical lives in peace. They refused, and he was forced to destroy them.
