Doctor Annabelle Rae was the plague doctor in Edinburgh in 1645. This was however a secret as she had taken over the role from her father after he had succumbed to the plague.
She helped the Doctor, Bill and Nardole in their investigation of the Street of Sorrows and the ghosts that had been manifesting in the city.
Along with Nardole. She witnessed her Plague Doctor costume become animated. This was later discovered to be due to the influence of the Psycholops.
Annabelle was later killed under the ground near Arthur's Seat by a Grief Leech which had latched onto her. (PROSE: Plague City)
