Unlike other fictional universes, the Doctor Who universe is created solely by fiction. To us, this is not a valid source. Information from this source can only be used in "behind the scenes" sections, or on pages about real world topics.

(the following is taken from the inner flap)
Andrew Skilleter is one of the brightest talents working in the field of commercial illustration.
His association with Doctor Who began in 1979, when he was commissioned to paint an illustration for the cover of one of the Target range of Doctor Who television story novelisations. Since then he has provided artwork for Doctor Who posters, Doctor Who jigsaws, Doctor Who calendars, even the sides of a Doctor Who travelling exhibition truck — and of course many Doctor Who books of all sorts.
This volume, written by the author himself, chronicles the Doctor Who career of Andrew Skilleter and is packed with beautifully printed reproductions of his work.
Andrew Skilleter has worked in most areas of illustration but has concentrated on book covers. He has, for instance, painted the illustrations for more than forty Ruth Rendell crime novels. He is best known for his Doctor Who paintings, however: his illustrations have appeared on books, videotapes, calendars and posters, while the original paintings are sought after by collectors on both sides of the Atlantic.
In a varied career he has set up his own publishing company and has produced Doctor Who books and calendars as well as a biography of Frank Hampson, the creator of Dan Dare.
Andrew Skilleter was born on the Isle of Wight, has lived all his life on the south coast of England, and is now resident in Poole.
