Here's another thought to ponder on and it's another subject that popped up during writing of our online Torchwood blog.

At the end of The Last of the Timelords the Doctor said that that whole year never happened and that they'd now gone back to just before. So why does Gwen Cooper ask Jack where the hell he's been all this time in the season 2 Torchwood episode Kiss kiss, Bang Bang!?

Sounds like a huge slip on the writers part to me!

But we dont know how much time has elasped since they last saw him, as they had been to the himalayas on a wild goose chase, so we also dont know how long they were there. Also, by the fact that it is nighttime in series 2 ep 1 when they see him again, rather than daytime like in last of the time lords, he may not have gone back straight away. After one years hell on the valiant, he may have wanted to, ahem, enjoy himself before going back to work. --Coop3 17:31, August 22, 2014 (UTC)

That's very true on all counts. I just wasn't sure if their trip was wiped out when everything was re-set. But yeh, that all makes sense.
