Danpetro was a human colony planet. Its capital was Quartz City.
Danpetro was once populated by nomadic snake-people, but they had long died out by the time Bernice Summerfield arrived on the planet to do an archaeological survey.
While Benny was on the planet, it was attacked by an alien scout ship. The ship proceeded to drill into the planet; the after-effects killed most of the population. The rest, including Benny, were eventually evacuated by an Earth task force. (PROSE: A Game of Soldiers)
