Honor Blackman (22 August 1925-5 April 2020[1]) played Professor Lasky in the Doctor Who television story Terror of the Vervoids. She later voiced Queen Anahita in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story The Children of Seth.

She was offered the role of Vivien Fay in The Stones of Blood, but turned down the role in fear of being upstaged by Beatrix Lehmann. (DCOM: Getting Blood from the Stones) She was also considered for the roles of Doctor Solow in Warriors of the Deep (TCH 38) and Queen Katryca in The Mysterious Planet. (TCH 42)
