Tam Connolly was a British soldier in World War I. He was killed in the Battle of the Somme in July 1916 by a stomach wound. Wullie Cairns, who lost his own helmet, found Connolly's body hanging in the wire and borrowed Connolly's helmet even though it was much smaller than needed. (COMIC: The Weeping Angels of Mons)
