Khair-un-Nissa Kapoor was a daughter of a wealthy spice merchant from India. (COMIC: The Swords of Kali) At some point between the beginning of the British rule in 1756 (PROSE: All-Consuming Fire) and 1825, her father decided that she should marry the Nizam of Hyderabad for political and business reasons. Rani Jhulka was assigned to be her personal bodyguard. The two women spent much time together, fell in love with each other and decided to run away. As agreed, Khair was waiting at the Mallela Theertham Falls in Nallamala Forest. Unbeknownst to her, their plan was discovered and Rani was intercepted. Khair was strangled by a Thuggee garrotte.
