I initially made this page redirect to Passchendaele to reflect Wikipedia's article. But I suppose, since there is no clear, specific reference that the two battles were the same (which they are/aren't...?) I moved the information back here. Steed ☎ 00:55, October 28, 2017 (UTC)
- Please keep in mind T:NO RW: we only allow stories to serve as sources for in universe articles. Shambala108 ☎ 01:16, October 28, 2017 (UTC)
- Indeed, the general policy is that information from the real world should not be used on in-universe pages (but can be added to the BTS sections if relevant). The policy cited by Shambala108 explains the rationale behind it. To provide more context, I would like to give one more example that is directly parallel to the current situation.
- Bombay and Mumbai are the same city in the real world (the renaming happened in 1995). Unfortunately, the 1969 television story The Seeds of Death could not predict this happening and referenced the city as Bombay. The problem is that the story is set in the late 21st century, way after the real-world renaming. As a consequence, Bombay survived longer in the DWU. Was it ever renamed to Mumbai? I don't know. DespiteMumbai existing in the 24th century in the comic story The Swords of Kali, we must stay agnostic as to whether it is the same city.
- So thank you for making the necessary changes. And happy editing. Amorkuz ☎ 19:51, October 28, 2017 (UTC)
