Thomas Kemp, his parents George and Helena, and his sister Alice found the TARDIS one day and entered it. They got caught up in an illusion that they were the Cracker family, celebrating Christmas in 1957, and when the Sixth Doctor tried to remove them from the illusion, they got caught up in another illusion that they were celebrating Christmas with Evelyn Smythe as part of their family.
