Meguid was approached by Gold after he encountered a lyrical cover Meguid had produced of his piece "Doomsday". Her first contribution to the show was singing the Siren's song in "The Curse of the Black Spot", featured on the Series 6 soundtrack album in the track "Deadly Siren".
