Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the real world, Magdalen College is a college at the University of Oxford.
Oscar Wilde attended the college and was shown during his university days in the comic story Bat Attack!, although Magdalen College was not identified as the college he attended in the story. True to what The Adventuress of Henrietta Street established about its Doctor Who universe counterpart, the real Magdalen College was known for its Masonic sympathies, and Wilde was a member of Masonic Lodge there while he studied at Oxford.[1]
