Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

Infoboxes

Hi, sorry to have blocked you. I just don't have time at the moment to clean up edits after you. The block is short and is only needed to make sure to draw your attention. Please refrain from editing infoboxes. It is a common desire for novice users to improve them. But please be assured that infoboxes for TV stories are exactly the way the community wants them to be. In particular, the enemy field is reserved for the main baddy only, and is not intended as a list of everyone who looked at the Doctor the wrong way or blindly followed commands being a robot and all. Please make sure to carefully read the above message. User:Amorkuz blocked you to get your attention, but as your edit at The Witch's Familiar (TV story) seems to indicate, you have ignored that message. Please do not edit infoboxes until you have edited with us for a while and understand what we do and do not want/need in infoboxes. Shambala108 ☎ 02:37, June 26, 2018 (UTC)

Ok, now I have to ask you to stop editing any infoboxes. You are putting in questionable information (including at one point a question mark next to your addition), improperly formatted information, etc. that has to be removed. For now, confine your editing to main articles until you get the hang of editing around here. Please note that our main priority on this wiki is good articles; infoboxes, despite what it may appear, are not the priority; they are useful summaries of the main points of an article, but we'd rather have full, well-written articles. Infoboxes for established pages, especially story pages, Doctors, and companions, are usually correctly and completely filled out the way we want. Thanks, Shambala108 ☎ 16:43, June 26, 2018 (UTC)

Block

While the first block was to attract your attention, the second block is a warning. When an admin tells you to refrain from particular activity, you have two options: to argue that what you are doing is correct or to stop doing that. You should not continue doing it completely ignoring admin instruction.

You were asked not to edit infoboxes because you lack experience to do so and, as a result, add incorrect or improperly formatted information. You continued doing so, at one point adding your signature in the infobox. There is no shame in having to learn to do things. But you should choose a less visible and, hence, less destructive target for your exercises.
