Are we sure it is the same one as in The Shadows of Avalon (novel)? There seems to be a tangle of characters both in the real world and in DWU, including Titania, Mab, Lady of the Ivy. I was going to investigate it just to be on the safe side. Amorkuz ☎ 13:17, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

I mean, from where I'm standing, it seems like two "Doctor Who universe-ifications" of the same mythological character. I doubt Andy Lane had Funhouse in mind when he wrote All-Consuming Fire, but we cover both "versions" of Sherlock Holmes on the same page nonetheless; I think the same logic would apply here. – N8 ☎ 13:23, September 4, 2018 (UTC)

Mabs, Titanias, and other Fairy Queens

Okay, so let's do this. Let's see what we got. The character from the Class audio story Gifted has many names:

• Mab (in RW Queen Mab, also present as Ma ab Mab Pendragon in The Shadows of Avalon (or maybe as Ma ab Mab Pendragon as per Discontinuity Guide?)
• La Belle Dame (in RW from La Belle Dame sans Merci and before that La Belle Dame sans Mercy)
• Titania (in RW another Shakespear character Titania, of which in DWU we have Titania (Autumn Mist) and Titania (The Trials of Tara)
• Maeve or Medb (I guess Medb, given that the actor playing her mentioned playing a "warrior queen", completely unsupported by the audio)
• Lady of the Ivy
• Fairy Queen (in RW Fairy Queen)
• did I forget somebody?

It's better than I expected but it's still tangled as Fae. My first proposal here would be not to conflate all these names onto one page. The main point of contention seems to be the two Titanias, who both are related to Oberons (same Oberon?). There is no hint of Oberon in the audio. If there is none in the Avalon novel, then I think it is safe to say these are completely different characters, both inspired by different RW myths and presented in completely different ways. Hmm, I just noticed that the Wikipedia link was changed. But thing is, Queen Mab does not actually fit the description in Gifted. That story really uses Fairy Queen. Which one is closest to The Shadows of Avalon Amorkuz ☎ 22:36, September 11, 2018 (UTC)
