Mrs Folgate was the mother of Gerald and Norton Folgate. She lived in London with her family but disliked the lower-class cockneys that lived near her.
She sewed hassocks for her husband Edward's church, all through World War II. However, a bomb was dropped on the church and they were destroyed. The couple later moved to a parish in the Cotswolds. She and her husband disapproved of Norton's sexuality and his job with Torchwood. (AUDIO: Ghost Mission)
Mrs Folgate used to say that "loose lips sink shapes". Norton remarked that she should know about that. (AUDIO: Outbreak)
