Grapevines, often grown in vineyards, were involved in the making of wine. Due to his interest in viticulture, the War Master once took over a vineyard on a farm planet, while his companion Cole Jarnish sought to save the planet's people. As crops died across the planet, the Master's vineyard remained healthy, and was almost ready for cultivation as the people begged outside his land. (AUDIO: The Sky Man)

The Forest of Cheem used grapevines to spread messages in the New Forest, New Earth. The Tenth Doctor thought this was simply a clever turn of phrase. (AUDIO: Death in the New Forest)
