History[[edit] | [edit source]]
The base was built in 2058 over an ice field, used as a water source, which contained the Flood, though this was unknown to the humans. The base was headed by Captain Adelaide Brooke. Seventeen months after the humans occupied the base (2059), the Tenth Doctor visited at the same time as the Flood began to infect the crew members.
