Frances Barber (born 13 May 1957[1]) played Madame Kovarian throughout the sixth series of Doctor Who, and reprised this role in The Diary of River Song: Series Three.
She also read some AudioGo audio adventures, including Snake Bite and Shroud of Sorrow, and contributed to the charity reference book Behind the Sofa: Celebrity Memories of Doctor Who.
In 2016, she read the short story The Gift for The Fan Show.
