A clerk worked in an office and had a wife named Daphne. He also secretly had a mistress.
Daphne suspected her husband of having an affair and hired Frobisher to investigate. He took on the form of a telephone on the clerk's desk and eavesdropped as the clerk called Daphne to tell her that he would be working late again. After hanging up, he and his mistress went out and Frobisher departed, taking on the form of a pigeon and flying out the window.
