Penarth Marina, or Penarth Quay, was a marina in Penarth. There was a security office on site, and users of the marina required a security fob and pin number. It was located across the road from the Old Custom House.
A yacht belonging to Steffan's uncle was docked at the marina, from where Steffan and a group of his friends took it out into Cardiff Bay. The yacht was later found abandoned in the Bay and towed back into the Marina by police, its deck covered in human blood and bone.
