Heiligeway was a street in Amsterdam.
Tugthuis, the House of Corrections, was situated on this street. (PROSE: The Roundheads)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
Although the Dutch name of the street is Heiligeweg, the Dutch word Weg translates as "way". The name of the street in full translates as "Holy Way". The position of Tugthuis determines the street definitively.
