Bethin, a Karagulan, was an orphan and sister of Lorton, taken by the Dreamspinner but was better able to withstand its influence than most. She resisted some of the Dreamspinner's influence and later "stole" her spacecraft and piloted it to the Karagulans for salvage. She also returned the stolen children.
