The Bathory outpost was a human deep space staging post for the vast colony fleets that left Earth in the late 23rd century. It was located in the Crab Nebula. It was used as a refuelling station and monitoring post for nearly one hundred years.
Circa 2399, the station was destroyed. At least two anti-colonial terrorist groups claimed responsibility for the explosion. A photo of Iris Wildthyme was taken against the backdrop of the destroyed station. Her Celestial Omnibus was visible amongst the debris. (PROSE: Iris at the V&A)
