The Scientific Intelligence Division (SID) was the first British organisation to (officially) combine the work of British Intelligence officers with scientists. Founded at the recommendation of Admiral Arthur Kendrick, its task was to piece together as much information as possible based on all the intelligence retrieved during the Second World War.
