Occam's Razor features several hints that Iago has knowledge and skills possessed by Avon and few others, and Taren Capel and Metafiction attribute many of Avon's adventures to Iago.
- Iago appeared in the stage play Robots of Death, an adaptation of The Robots of Death where Iago took on the Fourth Doctor's role.
- In the two versions of Metafiction, Iago says that his "real" name is Paul Darrow and Frank Archer. Respectively, these are the names of the actor of Iago and the name of that actor's character in Magic Bullet's non-DWU audio play The Time Waster.
