Not sold on a merger[[edit source]]

Not sold on merging this page with Krampus (mythology) because there are six versions of Krampus in the DWU:

  1. Creature (Do You Believe in the Krampus?)
  2. Krampus (Better Watch Out)
  3. Krampus (Imaginary Enemies)
  4. Krampus (species)
  5. Krampus (Relative Dimensions)
  6. Krampus (Holiday Special)

Some are imposters based on the folklore myth (#1, 2, 5). One is a species named Krampus (#4). And two are individuals named Krampus (#3, 6).

Discounting the four which explicitly aren't the mythological Krampus, one is left with Krampus (Imaginary Enemies) and Krampus (Holiday Special). And the former, as the BTS section note, does not have any links drawn between him and the mythological Krampus. This leaves the Holiday Special individual as the only Krampus who is treated throughout as synonymous with the Christmas figure — by no lesser authority than one of Santa's elves.
Again, I actually think we should have more Santa pages than we do — Santa Claus (Death in Heaven) for the psychic construct, to be precise — but all accounts of Santa either as a mythological figure, and accounts of a real-life Santa not hinted to be anything else than the mythological figure proven to actually exist, coexist at Santa Claus. -Scrooge MacDuck 21:07, December 24, 2019 (UTC)
