This page lists appearances of Zoe Heriot in the order in which she experienced them. This timeline is based on observations of the Doctor Who universe and the events in each of these stories. From these observations we have attempted to build a concise timeline. There are also many gaps between stories.

The layout of this timeline is based in part on the observations on Doctor Who Reference Guide and Doctor Who - The Complete Adventures, Lance Parkin's AHistory and other sources that allow us to make observations, such as DocOhoReviews, The History of Doctor Who, The Discontinuity Guide, Clive Banks Database, the Big Finish forums, The Whoniverse and the Divergent Universe forums. None of these sources should be used solely as a source or considered a "true" timeline for stories.

Early travels with the Doctor[[edit source]]

Zoe Heriot hides aboard the TARDIS when it departs the Space Station W3 and joins the Doctor and Jamie in their travels.

Several years have passed for Zoe since the events of The War Games. Her memories are beginning to return via dreams due to her eidetic memory. However the Time Lords send the Third Doctor to ensure that her memories are entirely erased for good this time.

Dealing with The Company[[edit source]]

Years later, Zoe seeks therapy after dreaming about the Daleks.
In around 2119, the Company begins to investigate and interrogate Zoe to learn about time travel. The events of Fear of the Daleks are recalled. Set forty years after the events of The War Games.
Zoe has been imprisoned by the company.
The events of Echoes of Grey are less than a year ago. Zoe becomes free of the Company, but her memories grow hazy. Then she remembers.

Reunited with the Doctor[[edit source]]

Zoe is extracted from her timeline with her memories restored and reunited with the Second Doctor and Jamie.

Memories restored[[edit source]]

Zoe is reunited with Jamie inside a memory TARDIS, with both of their memories restored. They remember the events of The Mind Robber and believe the TARDIS has permanently restored their lost memories. Zoe is President of Earth, has married a man she met in Australia and has a son called James, whom she realises she subconsciously named after Jamie.

Currently unplaced[[edit source]]

Zoe wakes up on a space station and is told by the Second Doctor that she has been in a coma ever since he attempted to connect her to the TARDIS telepathic circuits after The Wheel in Space 23 years ago. She is having dreams of the Doctor's adventures and the Second Doctor is also having the same dreams, believing that his future incarnations are imposters. The Seventh Doctor visits her and tells her to write her dreams down as stories. She begins writing The Dominators: Episode 1.
