Adam Lang was a human astronaut for the European Space Agency in the early 2020s. He was married to Jake Willis, a Detective Inspector for the police who struggled to believe that someone as impressive as Lang would be interested in him. As a result of this and his dislike of foreign travel, Willis failed to see Adam off and say goodbye when he left for the International Space Station.
However, the two would be together again when, after his ship crashed, Praxeus ended up on Earth and infected Adam. The Doctor was eventually able to cure him and the two decided to go on a trip with Gabriela Camara. (TV: Praxeus)
