: Not to mention that despite her description matching perfectly, Patience is never actually called "Patience" (or any other name) in The Infinity Doctors, so this page name doesn't make any sense in the first place! – N8 (☎/👁️) 02:17, March 31, 2020 (UTC)
It is fair to keep the two separate as Infinity Doctors is an alternate universe, and Cold Fusion is from this universe. However, connections between the two universes should still be acknowledged on the page. How one leads into the other. So, yeah, I agree with the first statement.

Merger proposaledit source

I understand how a naive reading of T:DAB OTHER suggests that Patience (The Infinity Doctors) needs to be kept separate from Patience (Cold Fusion), but I think that the character of Patience - and don't get me wrong, it's one character, written in both cases by Lance Parkin - falls under the exceptions to the general policy, as spelled out by former admin Amorkuz in Thread:225477:

We put things onto one page if

 • the split in the timelines happened after the person was born, or
 • the person retains memories of the other timeline.

Thus, The Last Centurion is a redirect to Rory even though he was an Auton in an alternative timeline. And thus Oliver Morgenstern only has one page even though he is also mentioned in the alternative timeline of Turn Left: there is some part of his life that is common to the two timelines.User:Amorkuz [Thread:225477#7 [src]]

It seems clear to me that the Infinity Doctors universe diverged from the normal universe centuries or millennia into the Doctor's lifetime (if at all), as indicated by many clues: for instance, the Doctor remembers several of the Eighth Doctor's companions including Bernice Summerfield, Izzy Sinclair, and Sam Jones. And since both Cold Fusion and The Infinity Doctors establish that Patience was born years if not centuries before the Doctor was, it must have diverged well into her lifetime, as well. Thus, the first criteria is satisfied.

The second criterion is also satisfied, as testified by the fact that a paragraph on this article begins "Moments before Patience's death", which occurred in Cold Fusion. Her very presence in The Infinity Doctors is meant to fulfill the "nor will it be the last" bit in Cold Fusion. These stories happen sequentially along the timeline of a single character named Patience, and her story is incredibly poorly represented on this wiki by being split across two pages. – N8 (/👁️) 05:34, March 20, 2020 (UTC)
