Gotal was a member of the Subterranean Exxilons, (PROSE: Death to the Daleks) a group of Exxilons who did not worship the Great City of the Exxilons. He helped Bellal rescue the Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith. (TV: Death to the Daleks)
