Adam of Bremen was a historian in the 11th century. He was captured by a group of hunters who captured the Eighth Doctor and Izzy Sinclair as well. The Doctor was rude to Adam, explaining to Izzy that Adam was one of many Christians who tried to discredit the worship of old gods. The Doctor accused Adam of poor research.
When the hunters were overcome by an alien noxmycota, Adam intended to write about the human sacrifices that were performed, despite the Doctor trying to convince him that the tribe didn't usually act in that manner. (PROSE: Illumination)
