The Ardennes, also known as the Ardennes Forest, (AUDIO: The Sontaran Project) was a forested region in Belgium.
In 800, the Tenth Doctor searched for Charlemagne in the region after he was kidnapped by Momus. (TV: The Unicorn and the Wasp, PROSE: The Lonely Computer)
In December 1944, the Ardennes became the sight of the Battle of the Bulge, Nazi Germany's last offensive operation in World War II. The Eighth Doctor arrived in the Ardennes at the beginning of the battle and helped the American forces stop King Oberon of the Sidhe. (PROSE: Autumn Mist) The engagement also became known as the Battle of Ardennes. (TV: Lost in Time)
