The Laima were the first race to visit the planet later named Trion.
Biology[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Trions determined that the Laima were slightly taller and bigger than them with much more developed foreheads and very long toes and fingers. They had great mental powers and some Trions believed that they had the power to control all life on Trion. Some myths went further and said that they could control the ground and the minerals contained within. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Laima were the first of the five races known to visit Trion. Early on, they fed on the Clansfolk, but eventually stopped and thought of doing so as barbaric. They became interested in psychology and science, discovering the ultimate unified theory and becoming more advanced than the Imperial Clans.
When the Laima discovered that the gravity constant was keeping them from evolving beyond the physical universe, they built a gravity control unit on Earth. Some Laima remained on Trion to maintain the unit, becoming known as the Slots, whilst the others ascended. The Slots gave the planet its name, naming it after its three great civilisations.
The Laima did, on occasion, return to Trion as the deformed Pharix. Seeking penance for installing the gravity control unit on Earth, which had originally seemed uninhabited, they worked with a future Vislor Turlough to help the humans. (PROSE: Turlough and the Earthlink Dilemma)
