Carmarthen Bay was an area of water to the north of the mouth of the Bristol Channel. A series of connected rivers, including the Afon Tywi, flowed out into the bay.
Carmarthen Bay appeared on Mary Cooper's map of overflow camps in and around Wales. (TV: The Categories of Life)
