The Glitterbird was a rare robotic bird species with beautiful rainbow coloured plumage. It was valued highly by collectors. Its droppings contained diamonds; like a Phoenix, its eggs were hatched in intense heat. It could travel through space. A threatened species on Sunset Strip, it was protected by the detective robots whose first loyalty was to other robots. The Tenth Doctor's timely intervention saw a Glitterbird hatch and take refuge in the stars. (COMIC: Gangster's Paradise)
