"Holographic screen" is a title based upon conjecture.

A holegraphic screen was a component in the TARDIS that in a way replaced the screens of earlier control rooms which had screens attached to the console. It worked similar to the telephone, but had a visual feed that showed who called.
It could he extended out from the console by a metal arm. (TV: Praxeus)
