Starliners were a type of starship in use by several humanoid races, such as humans, the Terradonians, and the inhabitants of Sto.
Human[[edit] | [edit source]]
During the 51st century, the category-four starliner Byzantium crashed on Alfava Metraxis. This let a Weeping Angel escape and other Angels on the planet feed off the radiation being released from the wreck. (TV: The Time of Angels)
Rory and Amy were in a starliner on their honeymoon. When it faced the risk of crashing, it was rescued by the newlyweds, the Eleventh Doctor, Kazran Sardick, and Abigail Pettigrew. (TV: A Christmas Carol)
The starliner Alaska crashed on the Dalek Asylum, compromising the security of the insane Daleks contained there. Most of the crew were killed and their remains degenerated, which were converted into Dalek puppets. One crew member retained his mind and body before succumbing to the puppet transformation, and another was converted into an actual Dalek. (TV: Asylum of the Daleks)
Terradonian[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Alzarian (though truthfully Terradonian) starliner was a colony-class ship constructed of myriad corridors on several levels (PROSE: Castrovalva) with a crystalline appearance. It crashed onto the planet Alzarius, where it was raided by Marshmen who killed the crew and evolved to take their place over forty thousand generations. They constantly worked to repair the ship, but did not know how to fly it. The starliner had an electrolytic power supply to create its own oxygen. The Alzarians flooded the ship with this oxygen when Marshmen invaded again. The quickly changing atmosphere would not allow them to adapt, so they fled. (TV: Full Circle)
Sto[[edit] | [edit source]]
Max Capricorn Cruiseliners had a starliner called the Titanic. It was damaged by meteors and its passengers and crew were attacked by the Heavenly Host in a plot that Capricorn conducted against the cyborg-prejudiced board of directors who forced him to leave his own company. The Tenth Doctor prevented the ship from crashing into the Earth. (TV: Voyage of the Damned)
