Stuart Owens was a chief operating officer at PhiCorp. In 2011, he was having an extramarital affair with an administrative assistant, Janet Tanner. He tried to learn what PhiCorp's involvement with Miracle Day was, reviewing relevant satellite photographs and documents and asking Zheng Yibao in Shanghai to investigate a potentially important site in the city. His investigation was unsuccessful. While dining at a restaurant with his wife, Owens was approached by Jack Harkness, who fooled him into believing he had kidnapped Tanner. Owens explained to Harkness that he knew nothing of the Miracle other than something called the Blessing was involved. (TV: The Middle Men)
