Ghanta

The Holy Ghanta of Yeshe Tsogyal was a bell and a holy relic of the Det-Sen Monastery.

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

The bell, named after Yeshe Tsogyal, the wife of emperor Trisong Detsen, was placed in the monastery by Padmasambhava.

In 1630, the bell was given to the First Doctor by a reincarnation of Padmasambhava named Oddiyāna, instructing him to return the relic in 50 years time. (AUDIO: The Secrets of Det-Sen)

In 1935, the Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon and Victoria Waterfield visited the monastery to return the bell. (TV: The Abominable Snowmen)
