The Navarinos were a race of vaguely humanoid aliens from the planet Navarro. They possessed time travel technology, which they used for amusement.
Biology[[edit] | [edit source]]
Slightly shorter than humans, Navarinos appeared much like giant starfish with five appendages covered in suckers. Navarinos required advanced disguises in order to pass themselves off as humans. Navarinos also had high metabolisms, easily overheating and becoming exhausted after short periods of activity. Navarinos spoke in a warbling voice, but were capable of speaking human languages. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
Society[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Navarinos originated on the tri-polar moon, Navarro. Many of them were fond of old fashioned culture. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
The Navarinos were the only survivors of a war on their homeworld, as the only society which hadn't seen any point in fighting while everyone else wiped each other out. They were well regarded in the galaxy as producers of adventure serials and comic books. (PROSE: Return of the Living Dad)
Technology[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Navarinos had time travel technology. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen) As they only used it for fun, the Time Lords didn't bother to stop them, but did impose a very high tax upon them. (PROSE: Return of the Living Dad)
Navarinos also used transformation arches, which allowed them to take the appearance of humans. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the year 4687, (PROSE: TARDIS Cam) a group of Navarinos attempted to go to Disneyland with the Nostalgia Tours operation, but they accidentally went off course and landed in Wales in 1959 instead; they stayed in the Shangri-La camp and attended the Get-to-know-you-dance. Making preparations to leave, the group boarded the bus which was destroyed by the Bannermen, killing all on board. (TV: Delta and the Bannermen)
Albinex was a Navarino disguised as a human greaser in his fifties. Unlike the rest of his race, he had a mean streak and wanted to revive his planet's warrior past. (PROSE: Return of the Living Dad)
Navarino technicians were employed by the Hangle-Wang Slitheen to build a temporal drive in the 347th century. They were eaten after it was completed. (PROSE: The Slitheen Excursion)
