The Eternity Circle was a council (PROSE: The Whoniverse) of five blue and silver Daleks created by the Dalek Emperor. (PROSE: Engines of War) Designed to plan new, unpredictable weapons and tactics, (PROSE: The Whoniverse) they were given the task of creating temporal weapons to use against the Time Lords during the Last Great Time War. As the War Doctor pointed out, however, they were less of a circle when they met up and more of a hexagon. (PROSE: Engines of War)

Characteristics[[edit] | [edit source]]

The Eternity Circle's casings were identical in size and shape to the Mark VIII Dalek drones but were coloured a deep, metallic blue, with polished silver dome sections and matching silver sense globes spotting their lower sections. The Eternity Circle members themselves appeared identical to one another. (PROSE: Engines of War)

History[[edit] | [edit source]]

They helped the Emperor lead the war effort (PROSE: The Whoniverse) and created the Temporal Cannon on Moldox for that aim and the Predator Dalek, in a plan to create a weapon using the Doctor. They were destroyed by Borusa when the Doctor told him to wipe out all traces of the Dalek activity in the Tantalus Spiral. (PROSE: Engines of War)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Figure of the Dalek Interrogator Prime, whose colour scheme matches that of the Eternity Circle.
  • In chapter eight of Engines of War, one of the members of the Eternity Circle is described as blue and gold. This does not fit well with the rest of the novel as every other description, before and after, describes all five members as blue and silver.
  • This is the second time-related Dalek group encountered by the Doctor. The first is the Temporal Research Team.
  • The Character Options figure for the Dalek Interrogator Prime, a Dalek who appeared in the audio story In the Garden of Death, matches the colour scheme with which Engines of War describes the Eternity Circle members.
