The temporal-freezing gateway disinhibitor bubble, dubbed the breakout ball by Jack Harkness, was a device that was able to briefly freeze time and phase through walls. Jack managed to get himself next to the cell housing the Thirteenth Doctor, in the Judoon prison, before he used it to open a force field around the Doctor and himself, and they ran back to his cell before it expired. (TV: Revolution of the Daleks)
