The [[Second Doctor]], [[Jamie McCrimmon|Jamie]] and [[Zoe Heriot|Zoe]] have landed at [[Hope City]]. Jamie, scouting ahead, notices that no one is around and the city is in ruins before deciding to reunite with the Doctor and Zoe. Noticing Jamie, the [[Robot King (Robot King)|Robot King]] emerges from the rubble, noting that [[human]]s have been extinct for 1,000 years. Jamie returns to the Doctor and Zoe, with Zoe asks him if he found anything interesting. The Doctor is shocked that Hope City is in ruins, and Jamie explains further that it seems that it had been destroyed in an atomic explosion. The time travelers go and explore the city, where they are noticed by the robot. The Doctor decides to split up the group, leaving Jamie and Zoe alone. The Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe have landed at Hope City. Jamie, scouting ahead, notices that no one is around and the city is in ruins before deciding to reunite with the Doctor and Zoe.
