Emancipation was the first audio story in the anthology The Eighth of March. It was written by Lisa McMullin and featured Alex Kingston as River Song and Louise Jameson as Leela.

Emancipation also served as a special release in the The Diary of River Song audio series, between Series Five and Series Six.

When River Song crashes a Galactic Heritage convention, posing as the wrong Time Lord, Leela is sent by Gallifrey to investigate.
