Some time in the 1970s, Mike Yates took Jo Grant to see the new Woody Allen movie. When she told John Benton her plans, he retorted, "Better you than me" — he was not a fan of Allen's films, and preferred the Carry On line when it came to comedy. Jo agreed — "He's not really that funny, is he?" — and admitted they were only going to see that movie because she'd already seen the other one playing. (PROSE: The Face of the Enemy)
