Nathan Later was an associate of Gloria Swannicker. He helped her in one of her jobs which she needed help for from the Seventh Doctor. He paid the bail on Ace and told her he was an undercover policeman. He later arrested Gloria. He was caught in Ace's explosion which destroyed his right hand.
Later in his life, using a nom de plum of Lefty Lonnigan, he was an associate of Sabalom Glitz who earned a lot from the Iceworld job. He encountered and captured the Seventh Doctor and Ace when they trespassed on his land. He was a cyborg. (AUDIO: A Life of Crime) .
