(→‎Appearances in Doctor Who: We've been through this - there's no reason to include a list which just says "every episode" three times over, especially when that's written above. Taking longer to read the same information, it's an excess of space and time, a description which might sound reasonable for a TARDIS wiki, but actually lessens its quality.)

"I Am The Doctor" is Murray Gold's theme for the Eleventh Doctor.

It was usually played when the Doctor was being heroic or when a problem was being solved, and was heavily featured in advertisements for the programme. It was first used in The Eleventh Hour and first appeared on home audio on the series 5 soundtrack.

Despite the track not appearing regularly as incidental music in the Twelfth Doctor era, the song continued to be used as trailer music, as well as making brief appearances in Death in Heaven and The Pyramid at the End of the World. It was later used in Twice Upon a Time, when the Testimony showed the First and Twelfth Doctors information on their other selves.

Following Murray Gold's return to composing for Doctor Who, the track reappeared in the first 60th Anniversary Special, The Star Beast, playing when Donna Noble regained her memories after meeting the Fourteenth Doctor.

The theme is the most often reoccurring musical motif in Doctor Who aside from the main theme, with it and its variations appearing in more episodes from series 5 to the 60th Anniversary Specials than any other music track in the show's history.
