::: All good, it's hard to keep track when you're on multiple wikis lol. I think I still prefer the lists (they seem more minimalistic) but I can see the benefits of the table (thanks for making it sortable btw). I still don't know if changing the format is worth the trouble though. It wouldn't be too bad for a smaller wiki, but we have so many recurring actor and appearances pages, it would be a massive job and would probably need a proper discussion. :::: Absolutely. Any sort of implementation of wikitables will need a Forum discussion (whenever those return, that is!), and it would take a lot of work to implement. (Though that wouldn't be unfeasible considering the new SourceFilter template for timelines.)
[[doctorwho:user:Epsilon the Eternal|
Epsilon
]]📯 📂
12:19, 1 November 2021 (UTC) |

Credits templateedit source
What's with the template for the credits? Is it a new format we are using? I'm not sure I like it. The notes section seems unnecessary and awkwardly squished, and I much prefer having credits sorted by media type (though that's merely a personal preference). It also seems like a massive undertaking to change actor credits to this format and, imo, way more trouble than it's worth. LauraBatham ☎ 11:43, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, my mistake. I forgot that this Wiki wasn't using these yet. For a bit of context, I use these on other Wikis, and I forgot to just use a plain list on this page.
- (That being said, though I don't know how to do it, wikitables can be coded to be sorted by medium. A wikitable is preferable, in my opinion, over a standard list, as lists sort by medium, virtually always televsion first, which isn't very T:NPOV-compliant. And lastly, I reckon that wikitables are worth it.) 11:49, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- For an example of a large wikitable, see this, which organises Magrs' credits by date. (@Bongolium500 has said he'll look into the CSS in order to make each field consistently sized btw.) 11:56, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
- Also of note, this wikitable type has been tested at Sabbath Dei - list of appearances, but only as a test. I'll standardise the credits on this page now. 12:00, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
