Either by chance or Enemy design, a lone Cwej piloting a 70-Form timeship crashed on an isolated planet in an empty far future era. The damage to the timeship interacted with the unique nature of Chris Cwej's timeline to create a crude version of Cwejen creation, with every attempted dematerialisation rending the fabric of time to create three basic Cwejen. Stranded on this planet for an unimaginable length, the original Cwej eventually resorted to founding a society of Cwejen dependent on cannibalism. Long after the destruction of the Sun Builders, their legacy lived on in legends, such as the religion of the Gendar. === Female Cwejen ===
As a result of Cwej rebels breaking the genetic codes to the Cwej bank several anomalies began forming amongst the Cwejen which were different to the usual Cwej-Prime, Cwej-Plus and Cwej-Magnus. These included Christina Cwej who, originally a male version, regenerated into the first female Cwej. Christina experienced sexism from her fellow Cwejen. (PROSE: Rebel Rebel)
By one account, Cousin Eliza was a female Cwej clone, (PROSE: The Five Christinas) created by Chris Cwej himself as part of a ritual sacrifice along with three others. (PROSE: Dead Romance.) She would later go on to join Faction Paradox. (AUDIO: The Eleven-Day Empire. etc.)

- You may be looking for the Seventh Doctor's companion, Chris Cwej.
The Cwejen were a race of duplicates of Chris Cwej created by his Superiors, the Great Houses, to serve them throughout the Totality. (PROSE: The Book of the War, A Bright White Crack) The word "Cwejen" was plural; each individual was called a Cwej, and the race was sometimes collectively called Cwejkind. (PROSE: The V Cwejes) While the Cwejen were originally manufactured for military purposes during the War in Heaven, (PROSE: The Book of the War) some Time Lords used Cwejen as personal assistants. (AUDIO: The Adventure of the Diogenes Damsel)
Nature[[edit] | [edit source]]
Most Cwejen took one of three forms: the original, blond, and handsome "Cwej-Prime"; the shorter, overweight, dark-haired "Cwej-Plus"; and the monstrous and heavily-armoured "Cwej-Magnus". (PROSE: The Book of the War)
Some Cwejen did not retain the conscious memories of their progenitor, but they were affected by his memories on an unconscious level. (AUDIO: The Adventure of the Diogenes Damsel) When asked of his past, Abschrift refused to directly state he came from Earth, saying it was "a matter for philosophers" and admitting that he originally had. (PROSE: Warlords of Utopia) As happened with Damen, it was possible for a Cwej to be allowed to keep most of the original's memories. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
To prevent the Cwejen from going rogue they had built-in code-words that caused them to shut down. (AUDIO: The Adventure of the Diogenes Damsel)
History[[edit] | [edit source]]
Before W-Time[[edit] | [edit source]]
A Cwej who had already been experimented on by the Superiors of the future once fell back in time to before W-Time, and was found by the Superiors of that era. With the reluctant help of the Gestalt and their then-current host, the Gendar Filin, the Superiors transformed this Cwej into a unique memetic entity who called himself the Gentleman. After the Gentleman proved too hard to control, the Superiors had the Gestalt hunt him down and imprisoned him in their prison. (PROSE: Ring Theory)
During the War[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Cwejen were created by House Military during the War in Heaven through the Army of One technique, (PROSE: The Book of the War) a form of Ubiquity. (PROSE: Out of the Box) This was an unprecedented enterprise which consumed a literally infinite military budget. Not only were tetradimensional diffraction combs specially bred to shape the timelines, but occultists also secretly consulted the Black Scrolls to seek the help of beings from the old times. It would later be clear that some of the homeworld's most skilled temporal engineers were retroactively conceived specifically for the project. (PROSE: The Ursine Brood) The original Chris Cwej was planned to lead the Army, but his behaviour at the Gauntlet was considered too erratic and Damen was instead appointed chief commander. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
One Cwej, Abschrift, was tasked by House Mirraflex with aiding the Greater German Reich. (PROSE: Warlords of Utopia)
Some House Military strategists derogatorily referred to the Cwejen as the "Little House of Cwejes". (PROSE: The Book of the War)
The original Cwej kept on regenerating, far outliving his intended lifespan, until eventually he became Cwej-Ursa. (PROSE: The Ursine Brood)
Among the Cwejen who did not have any of Chris' memories, there was a shared legend of the "pale god" called "Mister Seven", whom some worshipped with Cyberman-like fervour. Some Cwejen who aided the Time Lord Straxus on a mission to 19th century Earth went mad because of their form of worship. One of the Cwejen, who adopted the name Septimus from a human, began committing strange crimes themed with the number seven in an attempt to draw the attention of their god. Following Bernice Summerfield and Mycroft Holmes' confrontation with Septimus, he was taken by Straxus' past self to be dissected to find the genetic problem that caused his "malfunction". (AUDIO: The Adventure of the Diogenes Damsel)
With the conclusion of the War, the Superiors officially ceased production of new Cwejen. By this time, twelve billion Cwejen were alive throughout the Totality. (PROSE: A Bright White Crack)
During V-Time[[edit] | [edit source]]
As "W-Time" transitioned into a period known as V-Time, the High President of the Superiors covertly ordered the manufacture of a new troop of Cwejen beneath the surface of the Earth of Dawn 1027, with plans to invade that universe and overthrow its rulers, the Firmament. (PROSE: A Bright White Crack) The Uprising of the Cwejen was fought during V-Time. (PROSE: Rebel Rebel)
City of the Saved[[edit] | [edit source]]
In the City of the Saved, some Cwejen grouped to form the community Cwejentown. (PROSE: God Encompasses) Cwejen Security, of which Omicron Cwej and Sherman "the Tank" Cwej were part of, were hired as bouncers for Handramit's reception party at the Watchtower. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...)
Legacy[[edit] | [edit source]]
Long after the destruction of the Sun Builders, their legacy lived on in legends, such as the religion of the Gendar. One legend, illustrating the Sun Builders' mastery of Ubiquity, spoke of "the Hosts of the Kah-we-jeen Meanwhiles"; (PROSE: Out of the Box) "Meanwhiles" were also part of the Could've Been King's Army in the final days of the Time War. (TV: The End of Time)
Female Cwejen[[edit] | [edit source]]
(AUDIO: The Eleven-Day Empire. etc.)
