Rory was a Handbot captured by Amy Pond in an alternate timeline, during her thirty-six years trapped in the Two Streams Facility on Apalapucia to keep her company. She removed its anaesthetic hands, reprogrammed it and drew a smiley face on it. She named the handbot "Rory", after her husband Rory Williams. "Rory" became purposeless when a younger Amy was rescued, negating the timeline of the older Amy. (TV: The Girl Who Waited)
Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
The older Amy's pet handbot is used in the Doctor Who: Legacy mobile game, both as the ally "Rory the Handbot" and as enemy Handbots called "Rorybots".
